On April 29, 2014, AllBright partner Anne Yang spoke at the 2014 Chengdu Foreign-related Legal Services Forum at the invitation of the Chengdu Lawyers Association. The forum attracted more than 200 participants including representatives from chambers of commerce of the United Kingdom, United States, the European Union and other nations, executives from multinational companies, and lawyers based in Chengdu.

The Chengdu Lawyers Association party secretary Yang Zehui delivered introductory remarks at the forum while the Chengdu Lawyers Association chairman publicized a Research Report on Foreign-related Legal Services in Chengdu. During the forum, lawyers and representatives of chambers of commerce and corporations had an in-depth discussion on the following three main topics: foreign investment and regional legal services environment, foreign mergers and acquisitions in a new era, amendments to the Labor Contract Law and multinational companies’ human resource strategy.

Ms. Yang delivered a keynote speech -- A Legal Perspective on Foreign Investment’s Geographic Changes in China and Chinese Enterprises’ Outbound Investment. Ms. Yang also joined the discussions on foreign-related legal services and shared with the audience her views on the difference between legal services for multinational companies in eastern and western China.
