Andrew Sheng is a partner at AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai. His practice areas include corporate and finance law and dispute resolution.

Mr. Sheng has abundant experience in financial legal practice and has provided many banking and non-banking financial institutions with high-quality legal services. Such financial institutions are among the major names in China’s banking and financial market, and their business scope covers syndicated loans, project finance, A loans, commercial paper, financial leases, international trade financing, the creation and realization of guarantees for various financial transactions, non-performing loan disposal and debt restructuring.

Mr. Sheng consistently provides clients with efficient and excellent services in matters such as traditional mergers and acquisitions (including equity and asset deals), corporate financing and capital markets, private equity, venture capital and real estate. He has also designed transaction structures, engaged in due diligence investigations, drafted transaction documents, negotiated, issued legal opinions as well as delivered on transactions and confirmed fulfillment of post-transaction obligations. In terms of dispute resolution, Mr. Sheng has successfully handled several hundred litigation and arbitration cases of various types for his clients, which cover disputes concerning various commercial contracts, real estate projects, equity disputes, IPR litigation, labor disputes, unfair competition and confidential information, and won clients’ trust and acclaim because of his track record in safeguarding his clients’ lawful rights and interests.

Mr. Sheng has provided Fortune 500 enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises, state-owned enterprises and many SMEs with legal services regarding incorporation, daily operations and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Sheng previously served as in-house legal counsel at a large state-owned enterprise and as a manager in the credit department of a large commercial bank. He later became a partner at two PRC law firms. Mr. Sheng now serves as a member of the Banking Research Committee for the Shanghai Bar Association.

Mr. Sheng obtained his LL.B. from East China University of Political Science and Law in 1995.

Mr. Sheng is a practicing lawyer in China. His working languages are Mandarin and English.
