Jason specializes in corporate and M&A, foreign investment transactions, dispute resolution & litigation. He joined All Bright Law Offices in March 2021.

Jason served respectively as the general counsel and compliance officer of the well-known automobile companies, which brings him extremely rich experience in the legal services for the automobile industry. His deep immersion in the automobile industry over 14 years has made him very familiar with and mastered at the legal matters of the entire business chain of the automotive industry, covering corporate governance, R&D, technology license/transfer, procurement, manufacturing, HR, marketing, sales, after-sales, quality and consumer dispute resolution.

As the lead counsel and representative for the new investment projects of the companies, Jason offered legal services and negotiated with the local governments for new projects with a cumulative investment amount of tens of billions of yuan, among which some of the projects even has a total investment amount around RMB 25 billion. Jason has extensive experience in the legal matters related to the technology licensing/transfer/service. He represented the companies to negotiate with or guided his team to negotiate with affiliated companies on introduction of certain products as well as supervised the execution of the agreements. Jason is also familiar with the legal matters in relation with a company’s daily operations. He personally formulated or guided the team to formulate the standard contract templates in relation with purchasing and sales, setting a benchmark for the company’s contract standardization. Jason was a good partner of the business and always instructed his team to provide feasible and practical legal solutions which were both friendly to the internal clients and beneficial to the risk controls.

Jason is familiar with the practice of the law in relation with the anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition matters. He ever directed the legal team to provide anti-monopoly law training to the company's sales, marketing and after-sales teams so as to eliminate and prevent the potential risks from the very beginning. To support the daily operation of the company, Jason guided the legal team to provide professional legal consultation for the company's supplier selection, dealer network development, marketing policy formulation, product advertising, etc., to ensure that the company's contracts, policies, and procedures meet the risk management and control requirement of the anti-monopoly and anti-unfair competition compliance. Jason ever personally communicated with or instructed his team to communicate with government regulatory authorities on legal issues such as unfair competition and advertising compliance, which brings him rich practical experience in handling the investigation and law enforcement of the regulatory authorities.

Jason is familiar with the legal matters in relation with the consumer disputes resolution. He took the lead in formulating and implementing the company's litigation management process, guided the team to handle hundreds of the consumer complaints, as well as handled over 100 litigation and arbitration cases, which causes him to have accumulated very rich experience in handling the litigation, arbitration and consumer complaint.

Jason attended a systematic compliance training (covering FCPA, export control, privacy protection, etc.) at GM's U.S. headquarter. As the lead counsel, he pushed and participated in the establishment of a complete compliance system for Shanghai General Motors, and then served as the first compliance officer of this company. He also participated in the establishment of a complete compliance system for Chery Jaguar Land Rover.

Jason has accumulated rich experience in terms of the consumer data compliance and data rights dispute resolutions. Since 2011, he already started revising and optimizing company-related processes, policies, and contract templates from data compliance perspective to meet the requirements on the personal information protection and data compliance. In addition, Jason handled certain disputes related to data rights and personal information protection. Jason has been paying close attention to the "New Four Modernizations" (including electrification, connectivity, intelligence, and sharing) of the upcoming trend of the automobile industry very early. Given his expertise and experience as well as his open embracement of the new technologies and innovations, he has sufficient confidence to provide feasible and practical legal services in this regard.
