Ms. Sharon Shi is a senior partner of AllBright Law Offices and works in Shanghai office. Ms. Sharon Shi is a consultant in Hong Kong office.
Sharon Shi’s main practice areas include cross-border M&A, international capital market, compliance and dispute resolution. Sharon is qualified to practice in Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and England and Wales. She has been practicing in leading international and domestic law firms for more than 20 years. Sharon was awarded as one of the 15 ‘ALB China Top Female Lawyers’ in 2017. She is also one of the ‘Talent Pool of 1000 Lawyers Handling Foreign-related Legal Matters’ selected by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China.
With deep understanding of common law and Chinese legal systems, as well as commercial operations in both China and overseas markets, Sharon is able to provide systematic, in-depth, full-scale and high-quality legal support to assist in clients’ cross-border project management and deal with complex compliance issues. Her strength is particularly in assisting clients with their cross-border investment projects that involve multiple jurisdictions, where seamless cross-jurisdiction service is the key.
Sharon provided legal services for many Chinese companies regarding their overseas IPOs on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (main board and GEM), London Stock Exchange, and Deutsch B?rse in Frankfurt. She also worked as client partner for many major Chinese companies assisting them with their investment and operations in the North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia. Sharon assisted these clients throughout the whole procedure, covering project searching, initial negotiation, due diligence, drafting and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements, working with supervising authorities, obtaining merger control clearance and completion.
Sharon also worked as the Chief Representative of a US law firm in Shanghai. Furthermore, Sharon’s experience includes acting as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of a joint venture formed by a Fortune 200 US company and a Shanghai State-Owned Enterprise, which equipped her with rich first-hand experience in formulating and enforcing compliance policies, as well as in related risk management and control.
Sharon uses both Chinese and English as working languages.
