The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission jointly issued the Guidance on Accelerating the Application and Industrial Development of Blockchain Technology on May 27, 2021(the “Guidance”).
The Guidance sets out the general requirements, the major tasks and the implementation measures for the application and industrial development of blockchain in China.
According to the milestones in the Guidance, by 2025, the comprehensive strength of the China blockchain industry shall be one of the most advanced in the world. By 2030, the comprehensive strength of China’s blockchain industry shall continue to improve with further growth of usage within industry. . Blockchain shall become an important support for establishing China as a strong manufacturing power, etc.
