Decision on Amendment to Regulations on Administration of Entry and Exit of Foreigners

On August 14, 2025, the Decision of the State Council on Amendment to the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners (the “Decision”) was released.
According to the Decision, the following paragraph is added to Article 6 of the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners (the “Regulations”) as item (6): K visa shall be issued to foreign young science and technology talents. The following paragraph is added to Article 7(1) of the Regulations: for application for K visa, the conditions and requirements for foreign young science and technology talents as specified by competent authority in China shall be satisfied, and relevant supporting materials shall be submitted. The Decision shall become effective on October 1, 2025.
