Several Policies for Promoting Growth of Foreign Trade were Approved

On November 8, 2024, Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over a State Council executive meeting, at which Several Policies and Measures to Promote Steady Growth of Foreign Trade were deliberated and approved.
It is pointed out at the executive meeting that it is necessary to increase financial support, expand the scale and coverage of export credit insurance, fully utilize policy support loans for small- and micro-sized foreign trade businesses, continue to improve financial services for foreign trade enterprises in terms of credit granting, lending, repayment, etc., optimize cross-border trade settlement to help enterprises to improve their capacity to manage exchange rates risk. More efforts will be made to further develop new momentum for foreign trade, advance cross-border e-commerce development, and push forward the establishment of overseas smart logistics platforms. The meeting also stressed efforts to strengthen services protection for foreign trade enterprises, promote innovative development of green trade, trade activities in border regions, repair services for overseas goods in comprehensive bonded zones, enhance capacities for protecting foreign trade maritime shipping, and increase support for reducing burdens and stabilizing employment of foreign trade enterprises.
