On May 27, 2022, the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) · CIETAC Platform was officially launched. China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), as the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) service provider in China under the APEC Collaborative Framework for ODR of Cross-Border B2B Disputes and its model rules of procedure, provides negotiation, mediation and arbitration services for cross-border commercial dispute resolution between enterprises.
Making full use of the existing technology of the APEC ODR proceedings, the parties of international trade have reduced their cost in dispute resolution. Parties may agree, before or after a dispute has arisen, to submit the dispute to CIETAC for resolution via its APEC ODR service platform in accordance with the Model Procedural Rules.
