SAMR: Anti-Monopoly Work in 2022 Will Focus on Five Aspects

Recently, the anti-monopoly work conference of the national market regulatory system was held by video link to comprehensively summarize the anti-monopoly work completed in 2021 and deploy the key tasks for 2022.
The meeting stated that the anti-monopoly work in 2022 will focus on the following five aspects: (1) enhancing the level of anti-monopoly legalization, striving to improve the legal system of fair competition and providing clearer behavioral guidance for market players; (2) boosting market expectations and confidence, deepening the implementation of fair competition policy and helping to smooth the domestic circulation; (3) stabilizing the macro economy and ensuring the well-being of people’s livelihood, strengthening anti-monopoly supervision and law enforcement in key areas, and turning the “soft power” of fair competition into the “hard power” to promote development; (4) focusing on promoting the construction of a modern regulatory system, building up the capacity of fair competition governance, and grasping the team building; (5) focusing on shaping China’s new competitive advantage, enhancing the compliance capacity of enterprises, and amplifying the voices on international stage in the field of competition rules.
