ABL Partner was Invited to Attend a Renowned Sports Law Forum
2018-07-2014429From July 13th to 15th, 2018, the 7th Bohai Rim Sports law Forum (Joint Academic Annual Meeting of the Local Sports law Society 2018) was held in Changchun, Jilin. Lawyer Leo Zheng, a senior partner of ALLBRIGHT, was invited to participate in and gave a keynote speech on "Legislative Dilemma and Outlet of Sports Insurance in China".
From July 13th to 15th, 2018, the 7th Bohai Rim Sports law Forum (and the 2018 Joint Academic Annual Meeting of the Local Sports law Society) was held in Changchun of Jilin. Lawyer Leo Zheng, a partner of ALLBRIGHT, was invited to participate and gave a keynote speech on "Legislative Dilemma and Outlet of Sports Insurance in China".
The Bohai Rim Sports Law Forum was established in 2012. After several years’ development, it has achieved good academic results and got social response. It has become a stable and influential sports law academic platform in China and an important brand of sports law academic activities. The theme of the forum in this session is legal considerations for deepening the sports reform in the new era, focusing on the legal need to deepen sports reform in the new era, the legal approach to sports administration reform in the new era, and the reference to the international legislation for sports reform in the new era. The forum attracted more than 120 scholars, lawyers and practitioners in related fields. Hu Guangyu, deputy director of the Policy and Regulation Department of the General Administration of Sport of China, Liu Yan, chairman of the Sports law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, and Wang Xiaoping, vice chairman, were invited to attend the meeting and give speeches.
Mr. Leo Zheng has extensive experience in the field of Sports law. He has been invited by the government to cooperate with relevant Sports law research projects. He has provided legal services for different types of sports event organizers. He has also supported many well-known events with frameworks, subjects, legal services in investment and financing, event hosting, and intellectual property rights, etc.
The theme report of the "Legislative Dilemma and Outlet of Sports Insurance in China" made by Mr. Leo Zheng at the forum was the phased result of his research on the subject of "Sports Insurance System and Policy", which cooperated with the Shanghai Sports Bureau Law Office. The report summarizes the current status of Chinese sports insurance legal system, analyzes the potential of Chinese sports insurance market, plans to draw on excellent overseas sports insurance systems to draft Chinese sports insurance legal provisions, and ultimately achieves the soundness and development of Chinese sports insurance system, which triggered the participation of experts and scholars’ high attention and discussion.
