Happy Fang is a partner at AllBright Law Offices in Chongqing. His practice areas include banking and finance, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution.

Mr. Fang has in-depth experience and success in handling certificates of deposit, project finance, collateral, bad debt collection, disposal of non-performing assets. He especially distinguishes himself in the collection of business loans, personal consumer loans and residential mortgage loans. He has successfully represented a number of banks and financial institutions in handling more than one hundred cases including corporate loans, commercial housing mortgage, bad claim collection, disposal of non-performing assets and disputes over certificates of disposal and a number of insurance agencies in handling over one hundred insurance-related legal cases. Mr. Fang has handled a large number of corporate legal cases related to the incorporation of foreign-funded enterprises, corporate restructuring, A transactions, share capital increases, custody, bond issuances, corporate liquidation, judicial dissolution, bankruptcy, and liquidation. Mr. Fang has handled more than 500 civil and economic litigation or arbitration cases and has extensive experience in dispute resolution.

Mr. Fang has worked in Sino-foreign joint ventures, judicial organs and other organizations and serves as a member of the Intellectual Property Committee and the Insurance Committee of Chongqing Bar Association and is a member of the Chongqing Research Association for Intellectual Property.

Mr. Fang understands the importance of academic endeavors and publications. He has published academic papers in theJournal of Chongqing University (Social Sciences Edition), theJournal of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Social Sciences Edition),Chongqing Trials and other open access publications. Many of his papers have won awards. His paper entitled, Legal Research on China’s Trademark Reverse Passing-Off won the second prize at the annual meeting of the National Research Council on Economic Law of Schools of Political Science Law. Lawyer Fang has participated in the compilation of works for hire containing more than 400 thousand Chinese characters and the writing of an undergraduate textbook,Intellectual Property Law, andChinese Lawyers’Standards and Skills for Handling Intellectual Property Services. He has been invited to teach at various seminars and workshops at universities and colleges, policy research institutions, government departments, enterprises and public institutions, and industry associations.

Mr. Fang graduated from Chongqing University in 2000 with an LL.B., majoring in economic law, minoring in trade economics, and receiving a certificate of completion of studies in economics. He obtained his LL.M. from Chongqing University in 2011.

Mr. Fang is a practicing lawyer in China. His working languages are Mandarin and English.
