Mr. Wu specializes in general corporate, foreign direct investment, merger and acquisition, compliance, and etc.
Before joining our firm, Mr. Wu practiced at a top local firm for nearly 7 years, and for 8 years worked as an in-house counsel respectively for a foreign invested enterprise, a local private equity fund, and a state-owned investment vehicle. Mr. Wu is familiar with internal organization and business operation of enterprises and deeply understand the importance of effecting commercial purpose of clients.
Mr. Wu has advised dozens of multinational companies in their foreign direct investment in China and also advised both FIEs and leading local companies in their daily operation, covering industries of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, engineered materials, automobile, renewable energy, real estate, retail, food and beverage, advertising, consultation, etc.
Mr. Wu has taken a lead role in many high-profile mergers and acquisitions deals, including SMG’s investment in Netease Cloud Music, Tencent’s investment in Dianping, Belden Inc.’s sales of local consumption electronics business in mainland China and Hong Kong, TPG’s equity acquisition of domestic leading pharmaceutical dealer, etc. Mr. Wu also advises Tencent M&A team, Softbank China, Siemens medical fund, SMG Capital, Powercapital in their dozens of onshore and offshore acquisition projects, covering a broad range of industries.
Mr. Wu regularly advises multinational companies of different sectors on their data compliance, competition and anti-monopoly compliance matters. Mr. Wu has advised clients in their cross-border data transfer activities, and Mr. Wu has assisted several leading pharmaceutical and vehicle enterprises in reviewing their distribution agreements, drafting compliance policies, training, dealing with anti-monopoly investigations.
