Miao Leiis a partner at AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai. Her practice areas include civil, commercial, and administrative dispute resolution. Ms. Miao served for more than a decade as a chief judge at the administrative and appeal divisions the Shanghai Higher People’s Court. This exceptional experience with the Chinese legal system enables Ms. Miao to provide first-rate legal advice with respect to litigation and other forms of dispute resolution. Since entering private practice, Ms. Miao has advised and represented clients in commercial disputes regarding matters such as corporate mergers, contracts, and real estate construction. Ms. Miao also settles dispute matters efficiently when it is in the best interest of her clients. Ms. Miao, acting as a deputy editor in chief, edited a book entitledView Collections ofSupreme People’s Court --- Volume of Administration and State Compensation. Ms. Miao has also participated in certain judicial research programs organized by the Supreme People’s Court such as Provisions on Certain Issues regarding Case Trial over Premises Registration. In 2008, she was dispatched to the United States to attend a judicial skills training program co-organized by Shanghai Higher People’s Court and East Asia Legal Research Centre at the University of Wisconsin. Ms. Miao received her LL.B. and LL.M. from the Fudan University School of Law in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Ms. Miao is a practicing lawyer in China. Her working languages are Mandarin and English.
