Jeffrey Yang is apartner

Mr. Yang has focused much of his decades-long career with advising clients on securities and public listing matters. He has provided legal services for over 80 domestic and foreign companies in respect of pre-listing restructuring, restructuring for listing and post-listing restructuring as well as mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Yang has sponsored many domestic companies to issue stocks, initiate IPOs and restructuring in the Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchanges. He has also provided excellent legal services for many domestic companies with regard to their stock issuance, listing and post-listing restructuring in the stock exchanges in Hong Kong, the US NASDAQ, UK and Singapore.
Mr. Yang has also provided legal services for such major projects as the As of large-sized domestic power companies and a series of investment and acquisition of domestic power enterprises by a number of Fortune 500 German companies and a large-sized Malaysian investment group, including project negotiation, drawing up transaction schemes, drafting transaction documents, completing government examinations and receiving approvals, arranging transaction implementations. Mr. Yang and his team have provided a spectrum of legal services to over 160 foreign investors from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Singapore as well as Canada for their direct or indirect access to investment in the Chinese market.
Mr. Yang graduated from the Law Department of Peking University in 1987 with his LL.B. His outstanding performance on the national bar exam in 1995 resulted in Mr. Yang being sent to study law at the University of London and legal practice in a solicitor’s law firm as well as a barristers’ law firm in the UK and at a Hong Kong law firm.
Mr. Yang is a practicing lawyer in China. He is qualified as a securities lawyer. His working languages are Mandarin and English.
