On August 11, 2014, AllBright partner Anne Yang delivered a speech at the Asian Disaster Legal Forum hosted by the Disaster Reconstruction and Management School at Sichuan University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professors that participated in the forum included Gu Linsheng, Executive Dean of Disaster Reconstruction and Management School of Sichuan University, Sichuan University Law School Dean Li Zan and other experts from renowned Japanese universities.

Ms. Yang, a member of Wenchuan government’s disaster reconstruction legal counsel, shared with the audience her insights on the legal issues of disaster reconstruction by quoting her Legal Opinion on Housing Reconstruction and Relocation in Wenchuan, which was hit hard by the devastating magnitude 8 earthquake in 2008.
